First pitch to Mike

When we pitched our idea to another Media teacher, Mike, we had changed a few things about our idea but were still willing to hold on to the religious aspects in it and especially using a noun, a priest and a confession booth.
After we had finished pitching it to him he asked us that if we would take one idea out of our pitch, it could still stand.
When thinking about it we realised that when taking the religious aspect out of it, there was not much left.
In addition he said that there was a lot going on in the scene, and that our project should be something that when we look back on it in 10 years we are still proud of and remember a fun time filming it.
An opening scene about a priest that regularly rapes a noun is not something that we would find easy to film and would clearly be not much fun.
Even though it was quite upsetting to have our idea get shut down the way it did, we found his advice really helpful and are in the proccess of changing it.
